MaSCo, which will be held for the twenty-sixth time this year at Marmara University School of Medicine, is a student congress that encourages students to conduct scientific research and provides a platform for the presentation of their work.<\/p>\n

MaSCo is a Marmara Medicine tradition; students of Marmara University Faculty of Medicine serve up the results of their research projects, which carried under the supervision of their faculty members. This process is a part of the medical faculty education program. This scientific tradition started in 2001. In the following years, the Introduction to the Clinical Practice program, which was a part of the first three-year curriculum of Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, provided a suitable environment for the flourishing and development of MaSCo seeds with its research component.<\/p>\n

Since the first MaSCo, student research has been presented through posters and oral presentations, and numerous conferences, panels, and workshops have been held. Our congress hosts over 150 scientific studies from our faculty, alongside numerous research projects and presentations from external participants, welcoming guests from many different medical schools.<\/p>\n

The twenty-sixth edition of our congress will be held this year with an anticipated attendance of approximately 1000 participants, featuring a scientific program that includes research presentations and conferences by our distinguished speakers, workshops in various fields, and a social program designed to provide participants with an enjoyable experience.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Place of Organization<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2014, MaSCo has been held annually at Marmara University\u2019s Ba\u015f\u0131b\u00fcy\u00fck Health Sciences Campus. Our faculty, located on this campus, is home to Turkey\u2019s largest basic sciences building. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the exact location.<\/p>\n

Active and Passive Participation in the Organization<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our quota for our national external participants is 200 people, including the social program. Approximately 1000 people attend our congress each year with the participation of other medical faculties and our faculty.<\/p>\n

There is active and passive participation in the congress in two different categories. We are happy to welcome everyone who wants to listen to our sessions, make new friends, and open new horizons to new knowledge.<\/p>\n

There are two categories of active participation; Experimental Original Research Category<\/strong> ve Observational Original Research Category<\/strong>. Participants will be able to apply from one of two categories.<\/p>\n

Studies in the Experimental Original Research category are in vitro experiments, animal studies, randomized controlled trials, clinical trials, and population-based trials.<\/p>\n

Studies in the Observational Original Research Category are case-control studies, cohort, Cross-Sectional, correlational studies.<\/em>; case\u2013control studies, cohort, cross-sectional, correlational studies<\/strong><\/p>\n

Case reports, case series, reviews, meta-analyzes, lecture-type studies will not be accepted.<\/p>\n

Your submitted work will be pre-edited by two different referees in the scientific team, and minimal changes (if necessary) will be communicated to the participants and corrected<\/p>\n

The Scientific Evaluation Board, which consists of our expert faculty members, will be determined that your research will be in the oral or poster category.<\/p>\n

ICP Research and National Presentations<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Marmara University Faculty of Medicine students are obliged to conduct scientific research under the ICP (Introduction to Clinical Practice) program throughout the year. Students who get in contact with the advisors appointed by the ICP delegation complete their research until MaSCo, and thus, they have done three studies in the first three years. These researches are original and proudly represent our faculty in many congresses held by national and international academicians.<\/p>\n

Each year, the number of oral and poster presentations varies, with approximately 150 presentations being evaluated at MaSCo.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
